English director, Alfred Hitchcock

Unseen Alfred Hitchcock Holocaust documentary to be released

‘Disturbing’ film, made in 1945 and withheld, was restored by the Imperial War Museum and will screen later this year and in 2015

Hitchcock was asked to assemble footage shot by a British army film unit cameraman of the liberation of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945. But the resulting documentary, which had been commissioned in an attempt to inform and educate the German populace about the atrocities carried out by the Nazis in their name, was ultimately held back.

From the quotes from the writing: “The film’s narration, which has been re-recorded with a new actor, features descriptions of “sightseers” at a “chamber of horrors”.” Is this documentary, or not? But the British imperialism is again on the stage. Firstly, US and UK have to give an account of the WWII air assaults, which are made by them and the reason of thousands people died. Just only in 2 days, Feb, 1945 in Dresden more than 50,000 civil German were killed by their air assaults. And there wasn’t any court of US and UK. If there is injustice, the people can be manipulated. Why today Pegida emerged especially in Dresden?
