A Star is Born – My Review

Lady Gaga is beyond talented. Now she may be up for an Oscar, with a performance that few, if any, could have pulled off. The ladies cried in a packed house on a Tuesday night. I was stuck in the first row.

I needed to feel something, and the film delivered. You can tell it was directed by an actor, because so many shots are close-ups isolating them and framing out ten-thousand spectators. They spared no expense with the venues and the production.

I’ve always liked Gaga. The instant you hear her voice you know something’s happening. It’s so strong and distinct. Her presence commands attention as soon as she opens her mouth.


Now that she’s shown her vulnerable side, her origins, her natural hair and face, it’s like we instantly know her better. The role is tailor made for her to grow and shine. But there’s a dark side…
