If you suspect I don’t entirely trust Miss Cortez, you may be onto something.

A rapid global shift to clean energy is needed to prevent runaway climate change, says António Guterres

“What we’ve done is build a [direct-air capture] process that is—as much as possible—built on existing processes and technologies that are widespread in the world,” said David Keith, a professor of applied physics at Harvard and the lead author of the new study. “That’s why we think we have a reasonable possibility of scaling up.”

Turning Air Into Gasoline

The new paper says it can remove the same ton for as little as $94, and for no more than $232. At those rates, it would cost between $1 and $2.50 to remove the carbon dioxide released by burning a gallon of gasoline in a modern car.

While I don’t like linking to Mother Jones, with a disclaimer that they will mislead on controversial issues, this seems pretty straightforward:

Here Comes the Sun: America’s Solar Boom, in Charts

The most crucial piece of info is on this image:

When that day comes, it’s time.

Remember Mother Jones, The Nation and a host of other so-called “progressive” and “alternative” outlets receive shady foundation funding, some of it connected to the Ford Foundation and the CIA.

permian-extinction1

This is truly scary shit that I hadn’t heard about.  The “Permian Extinction” resulted from a massive volcanic release that warmed the earth by 6 degrees Celsius.  That warming led to massive releases of methane from the oceans and permafrost which doubled the temperature gain, killing off 95% of species on earth.

Scientists say we are already at the same levels of carbon release as that volcano.

I’m glad we have that global cooling I read about on those angry right-leaning websites, because it’s only 110 degrees today in North Cali.  Although it was 114 a couple weeks ago, and that was warm.  I’m glad those guys have our best interests at heart, and I expect the climate scientists to all come around any time now.
