Trump-Caligula copy

I was ready to give Hedges a pass when he went and flaunted his brainwashing and utter ignorance concerning 9/11. As large as Trump’s fans’ blind spots he has his own to match. Hedges’ cowardice in confronting the plentiful evidence of 9/11 Treason sinks his credibility. All the vocabulary and bluster doesn’t make up for a malignant position this critical.

It’s ALL a direct line from 9/11 to Trump’s fascism. The country died that day, and Hedges will never comprehend.

Agree with this one, but it could have used more facts and figures to buttress its case…

re: Hedges & 9/11

Abby,
All of this fascism and idiocy was preordained by the afternoon of September 11th. What has been revealed since was that at minimum the White House allowed the attacks to happen in order to bring fascism to the USA. Chris Hedges, Noam Chomsky and the left so-called alternative media have been responsible for burying this issue and allowing fascism to roll in unimpeded. Whether it’s cowardice or compromise, it cannot stand. And they cannot stand in the face of the facts.

I assmue you know the info in this piece, but in case you don’t, it pretty much explains what happened to allow the attacks to succeed:

https://politicalfilm.wordpress.com/2016/09/11/911-28-pages-of-treason/

I have directly challenged and called out Chomsky, but he doesn’t “care” about minor issues like the modern Reichstag Fire that brought us full blown fascism.

https://politicalfilm.wordpress.com/2016/03/10/noam-chomsky-and-the-war-on-straight-answers/

I cannot stress enough how 9/11 directly led to Trump. They have gotten away with not only allowing our “defenses” to fail spectacularly (Rebuilding America’s Defenses), but to keep the Al Qaeda menace alive in Libya, Syria and beyond. They have brought Al Qaeda back from the dead with ISIS, handing Trump his next war pretext.
Chris Hedges hides from this reality, making him useless, impotent, irrelevant, choose your own term. He and the “left” have failed to oppose the Reichstag Fire, the Treason at the heart of this new World Order.
Of what use are his words if America overwhelmingly still thinks it has an independent enemy out there waiting to strike? The real terrorism is aided and abetted by US intelligence with its partners in crime, most importantly: Saudi Arabia. Nothing is ever done about this, not even after Trump’s hollow pledges.

Dear Chris Hedges,

I read your piece this time, all of it. I’ve been short with you before, and I wanted to be sure I was on solid ground.

Your answer to the problems of the modern age is anti-Trumpism? As if The Donald created this mess? Despite falling back on 1860s Marxist rhetoric (as is your stock in trade), the only response we have is anti-Trump, thus pro-Hillary Clinton?

That’s what your many years have taught you: support Hillary, lesser-evilism?

I say this because the name JILL STEIN does not appear in the article. That’s the same exact way it does not appear at most places. Making you, Chris Hedges, part of the problem, not the solution.

If you think Hillary Rodham Clinton is a positive force in the world, then the world has indeed overestimated you.

Historical background mostly…

My problem with Hedges concerns his cowardice over the September 11th Treason:

Message to Hedges:

Hedges has been a coward over the 9/11 Treason. This betrayal discredits him and others like Noam Chomsky, who also sold lies, the most dangerous lies, by letting them get away with it.

https://youtu.be/rtBazX6xpaM

There is no way to stop the gains of the empire if you let them get away with massive attacks on the “homeland.” The ignorance Hedges displays is staggering. You ceded the entire debate to them on 9/12/01 and made yourself irrelevant. We had a chance to stop them. They allowed terror attacks on NYC and the Pentagon, and perhaps aided and abetted. They committed high Treason to cover it up and protect the Saudi sponsors. The CIA hid the hijackers from exposure for 16-18 months — ADMITTED TO SINCE 2005!

These facts render your efforts moot, Mr.Hedges. You will get exactly nowhere by allowing massive false flag terror attacks to occur without opposition. Your efforts are little more than the chatter of the Internet. Interesting entertainment. Nothing more.

Chris Hedges and other plaintiffs try in vain to keep the Obama military machine in check, even as the government claims the right to snatch and grab anyone on earth without DUE PROCESS OF LAW…

Fighting the Militarized State

If Section 1021(b)(2) is not struck down by the Supreme Court it will effectively overturn nearly 150 years of case law that repeatedly holds that the military has no jurisdiction over civilians. A U.S. citizen charged by the government with “substantially supporting” al-Qaida, the Taliban or those in the nebulous category of “associated forces” will be lawfully subject to extraordinary rendition on U.S. soil. Arrested citizens will languish in military jails, in the language of Section 1021(b)(2), until “the end of hostilities.”

This obliteration of the right to due process and a fair hearing in a court of law, along with the mass surveillance that has abolished our right to privacy, will be the legal foundation of our militarized, corporate state. Judge Forrest warned in her 112-page opinion that whole categories of Americans could, under this law, be subject to seizure by the military. She drew parallels between Section 1021(b)(2) and Korematsu v. United States, the 1944 Supreme Court ruling that supported the government’s use of the military to detain 110,000 Japanese-Americans in internment camps during World War II. Our case offers the court an opportunity, as several lawyers have pointed out, to not only protect almost 150 years of domestic law that forbids the military to carry out domestic policing but to repudiate the shameful Korematsu decision.

May as well add unaccountable torture, unlimited surveillance and show trials to the list of citizen grievances against Obama Incorporated.
