Did you know that Donald Trump had the State Department, USAID, NED, and the CIA fund and train Neo-Nazi, fascist militias to overthrow the government of Ukraine? These riot mobs, primarily Svoboda and Right Sector, stormed the capital, firebombed and shot the police, and destroyed democracy inside Ukraine. When the legitimately elected president was forced out by the rioters, the population which had supported him in the east seceded from the country, tearing the entire nation into pieces and sparking a civil war. The Ukraine civil war has cost the lives of over 13,000 Ukrainians. There is so much blood on Donald Trump’s hands.

Oh, wait a minute. That was Barack Obama. Change that paragraph please.

Since 2014, it’s been glaringly obvious to astute (and honest) observers that the Administration of Barack Obama and Joe Biden supported the most vicious street mobs in Europe, people who considered themselves proud fascists. Western media routinely censored this part of the story. Obama’s Assistant Secretary of State, Victoria Nuland, made deals with their leaders and was caught on an open phone line handpicking the next unelected leader of Ukraine, someone they could sell to the US public: “Yats is the guy.”

Representative Dennis Kucinich expressed outrage on Bill O’Reilly’s TV show that the Obama Administration had aided this bloody, illegitimate coup. The head of the CIA-linked STRATFOR called Ukraine “the most blatant coup in history.”

America’s proxy terrorists burned Kiev, seized power violently, and through the power of the purse strings, Obama’s Administration installed friendly-faced fascists, who immediately set about attacking their countrymen in the east, with a policy of mass murder and indiscriminate bombings. Eastern provinces of Crimea and Donetsk, which notably had supported the ousted president, held referenda. The people there voted overwhelmingly to secede from the illegitimate, unelected, foreign-sponsored coup regime in Kiev.

The above is most certainly not the reason cited this week for Impeachment hearings.

Aiding and abetting fascist militias to violently siege a foreign capital is not considered a crime in Washington DC, at all. Conversely, it is business as usual, as Bolivians and Venezuelans can attest to.

Woody Allen directed a film entitled “Crimes and Misdemeanors.” That pretty much sums up the DC circus unfolding in Congress. Everything above is completely true, and yet Barack Obama is heralded as someone in the neighborhood of saints and superheroes. To the belligerent American empire, Obama was a star quarterback. Let’s not even delve into Barack’s support for Al Qaeda in Syria, and another half-million dead there, or we’ll be here all day.

Donald Trump made a phone call. In his phone call, he is said to have bullied the President of Ukraine a little. He may have even delayed some weapons transfers to that country, which was engaged in a proxy war with nuclear-armed Russia and its separatist allies in the east of Ukraine.

That’s a crime? A real crime? In light of over thirteen thousand slaughtered and an illegal coup in broad daylight? Trump’s telephone call is the real crime?

Other Presidents haven’t bullied other client-state puppet leaders, ever?

And why exactly is the President of the United States of America required to send lethal weapons to foreign fascists at all? Has anyone located that section of the Constitution?

PBS’ Anti-Russia Propaganda Series

C3wOzuZXAAI2VxJ.jpg

by William Blum

“Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” – Alice in Wonderland

Since Yalta, we have a long list of times we’ve tried to engage positively with Russia. We have a relatively short list of successes in that regard. – General James Mattis, the new Secretary of Defense

If anyone knows where to find this long list please send me a copy.

This delusion is repeated periodically by American military officials. A year ago, following the release of Russia’s new national security document, naming as threats both the United States and the expansion of the NATO alliance, a Pentagon spokesman declared: “They have no reason to consider us a threat. We are not looking for conflict with Russia.”

Meanwhile, in early January, the United States embarked upon its biggest military buildup in Europe since the end of the Cold War – 3,500 American soldiers landed, unloading three shiploads, with 2,500 tanks, trucks and other combat vehicles. The troops were to be deployed in Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary and across the Baltics. Lt. Gen. Frederick Hodges, commander of US forces in Europe, said, “Three years after the last American tanks left the continent, we need to get them back.”

The measures, General Hodges declared, were a “response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the illegal annexation of Crimea. This does not mean that there necessarily has to be a war, none of this is inevitable, but Moscow is preparing for the possibility.” (See previous paragraph.)

This January 2017 buildup, we are told, is in response to a Russian action in Crimea of January 2014. The alert reader will have noticed that critics of Russia in recent years, virtually without exception, condemn Moscow’s Crimean action and typically nothing else. Could that be because they have nothing else to condemn about Russia’s foreign policy? At the same time they invariably fail to point out what preceded the Russian action – the overthrow, with Washington’s indispensable help, of the democratically-elected, Moscow-friendly Ukrainian government, replacing it with an anti-Russian, neo-fascist (literally) regime, complete with Nazi salutes and swastika-like symbols.

Ukraine and Georgia, both of which border Russia, are all that’s left to complete the US/NATO encirclement. And when the US overthrew the government of Ukraine, why shouldn’t Russia have been alarmed as the circle was about to close yet tighter? Even so, the Russian military appeared in Ukraine only in Crimea, where the Russians already had a military base with the approval of the Ukrainian government. No one could have blocked Moscow from taking over all of Ukraine if they wanted to.

Yet, the United States is right. Russia is a threat. A threat to American world dominance. And Americans can’t shake their upbringing. Here’s veteran National Public Radio newscaster Cokie Roberts bemoaning Trump’s stated desire to develop friendly relations with Russia: “This country has had a consistent policy for 70 years towards the Soviet Union and Russia, and Trump is trying to undo that.” Heavens! Nuclear war would be better than that!

Fake news, fake issue

The entire emphasis has been on whether a particular news item is factually correct or incorrect. However, that is not the main problem with mainstream media. A news item can be factually correct and still be very biased and misleading because of what’s been left out, such as the relevant information about the Russian “invasion” of Crimea mentioned above. But when it comes to real fake news it’s difficult to top the CIA’s record in Latin America as revealed by Philip Agee, the leading whistleblower of all time.

Americans are so dumb and brainwashed, this is the gibberish you have to get through–

Rolling Stone website:

Really? No one wants WWIII but if Stein is willing to let Putin annex more countries because she doesn’t want to be a world policer than Putin will start annexing more countries.

Reality Check

That is complete brainwashed bullshit, and I can’t even believe I have to respond to it.

The USA sponsored an illegal coup in Ukraine and overthrew the legitimately elected government there, throwing the country into complete turmoil when neo-nazis seized power. Neocon ghoul Victoria Nuland – from Clinton’s State Department – is seen in photos with the fascists and was exposed as involved in the coup. The neo-nazis then demonized Russian speaking Ukrainians as their first act, making it illegal to speak Russian in the parliament. The country flared up into civil war. Thanks, Obama.

The Russians have a naval base in Crimea, since forever. The people there are all connected to the base and consider themselves Russian. They seceded in a vote of over 95% in favor of leaving the new Nazi stronghold. This is reported by idiots in the US as “annexing countries.” It’s quite a different story if you care to learn how to read.

Syria has been invaded by foreign sponsored radical Jihadists. Arms and money flowed from the US’s so-called “allies” including Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

That is a war crime and breach of the UN Charter, and has led us to the brink of WW3. The US violates the laws enacted to stop another World War, with impunity.

Russia has a naval base in Syria too. See the pattern yet? They were invited by the actual government of Syria to help defend the country from the foreign bankrolled and armed insurgency, the illegitimate proxy armies that chop off heads and brag about it.

That’s square one for a serious discussion about US / Russian relations today.

Cold War, today, tomorrow, every day till the end of the world.

“Russia suspected of election scheme. U.S. probes plan to sow voter distrust.”

That’s the Washington Post page-one lead headline of September 6. Think about it. The election that Americans are suffering through, cringing in embarrassment, making them think of moving abroad, renouncing their citizenship; an election causing the Founding Fathers to throw up as they turn in their graves … this is because the Russian Devils are sowing voter distrust! Who knew?

But of course, that’s the way Commies are – Oh wait, I forgot, they’re no longer Commies. So what are they? Ah yes, they still have that awful old hangup so worthy of condemnation by decent people everywhere – They want to stand in the way of American world domination. The nerve!

The first Cold War performed a lobotomy on Americans, replacing brain matter with anti-communist viral matter, producing more than 70 years of functional national stupidity.

For all of you who missed this fun event there’s good news: Cold War Two is here, as big and as stupid as ever. Russia and Vladimir Putin are repeatedly, and automatically, blamed for all manner of bad things. The story which follows the above Washington Post headline does not even bother to make up something that could pass for evidence of the claim. The newspaper just makes the claim, at the same time pointing out that “the intelligence community is not saying it has ‘definitive proof’ of such tampering, or any Russian plans to do so.” But the page-one headline has already served its purpose.

Hillary Clinton in her debate with Donald Trump likewise accused Russia of all kinds of computer hacking. Even Trump, not usually a stickler for accuracy, challenged her to offer something along the lines of evidence. She had nothing to offer.

I find this a bit funny, but pathetic too.  The EU dutifully does whatever the petulant US cold warriors demand:

“USA publishes sanctions list with several Russian and Ukrainian officials”

What triggered this?  A vote of the Crimean people that went against Obama.  That’s all.  This move is directly the result of a people’s referendum.

The naked hypocrisy of the west is beyond satire.  In the name of “democracy” they are going to great provocations to void the democratic process.  Their undemocratic fascist coup gang in Ukraine is supported uncritically, despite being elected by no one.

Political theater like this should be implausible.  I guess the audience will buy anything since they know very little about any of these matters.  I doubt Americans could find Ukraine on a map, or Russia for that matter.

(published at Activist Post  & Foreign Policy Journal)

The neo-fascist coup d’etat that overthrew the democratically elected government of Ukraine has the President of the United States firmly on board.  Obama’s support for this illegitimate, unlawful transfer of power in Ukraine has reached schizophrenic heights as an Executive Order has proclaimed a “national emergency” in defense of the Molotov tossing, spiked bat-swinging Neo-Nazis of Kiev.  As Secretary of State John Kerry threatens to escalate the East/West conflict in cryptic allusions, the world now awaits the possibility of World War.  US warships, planes and troops continue to scurry toward the region.

What Obama has done is absurd.  There is no more diplomatic way of stating it.  His hypocrisy and support for clearly illegitimate and unelected Ukrainian leaders now threatens the freedom, and lives, of Americans who call out this insanity, such as yours truly in this very article.  Obama’s official embrace of the ridiculous rivals his predecessors, Bush and Cheney.  This is no coincidence.  The architect of the Ukraine regime change plan was none other than Dick Cheney’s former adviser and Obama’s current Assistant Secretary of State, Victoria Nuland.  The Project for a New American Century lurches forward like Frankenstein’s monster.

“I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, find that the actions and policies of persons — including persons who have asserted governmental authority in the Crimean region without the authorization of the Government of Ukraine — that undermine democratic processes and institutions in Ukraine; threaten its peace, security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity; and contribute to the misappropriation of its assets, constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States, and I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with that threat.”

The “Government of Ukraine” (nice use of CAPS) has just been installed via chaotic street battles and a mysterious sniper, apparently brought in by the neo-nazi Maidan leaders.  The elected President of Ukraine has fled to Russia, leaving a power vacuum where Obama’s so-called “Government of Ukraine” enjoys no actual democratic legitimacy.  This government was simply not elected by anyone.  Period.  Full stop.

However, Victoria Nuland has copped to spending $5 Billion of U.S. taxpayer money to achieve this goal and to install this regime.  The US State Department has been instrumental in deciding who would and who would not become Obama’s current “Government of Ukraine.”  This flagrantly gratuitous fraud is backed up by Executive threats of property seizure and even escalation toward war.

nuland-mccain-Tyahnybok-small[Oleh Tyahnybok, Victoria Nuland, John McCain]

Crimea, which has yet been unaffected by the brutal street violence of Kiev, has arranged a popular referendum — an actual vote of the people — to decide whether they want to remain a part of Victoria Nuland and Barack Obama’s little neo-fascist experiment.  The people of Crimea may choose independence or protection by Russia, but this is not to be permitted by Washington.

“There will be a [U.S.] response of some kind to the [Crimean] referendum itself… If there is no sign [from Russia] of any capacity to respond to this issue … there will be a very serious series of steps on Monday.”
-John Kerry, 3.13.2014

So, buckle down, America.  There’s currently a “national emergency” that people in a tiny region half a world away may vote the wrong way, the way that Washington officially dislikes.  Update: Apparently they have, with 95% of Crimea in favor of secession from Ukraine in preliminary polling.

Crimea has always been a part of the Russian sphere of influence, as it has majority Russian ancestry.  The Russians, predictably, want to keep their port on the Black Sea.  NATO/Washington wants to take away this naval port.  If you can imagine a game of Risk in play, this is simply a matter of moving a few military resources around on a map to embolden one and to strategically weaken the other.

Add to that Chevron’s holdings in Ukraine (and other US multinationals) with a nice profitable lease to frack the hell out of the country and extract natural gas for the next 50 years, and then we have a very obvious, tired old story of resource wars and strategic one-upsmanship.  That and the IMF plan to indebt the people of Ukraine for many more billions in loans and impose “austerity” on their vital services.  This is the “Economic Hitman” formula employed countless times around the world and already written about extensively.  These are the forces in play, fun and games and billions to be extracted.

Plan Ukraine has absolutely nothing to do with democracy, with freedom, with vision, with any of the lofty rhetorical snake shit that readily squirts out of American television sets.

Will Ukraine look a lot like Syria in six months?

These neo-con warmongers, like John McCain and Victoria Nuland, had a lot of good chuckles empowering Al Qaeda in Syria in broad daylight, their junior partner Saudi Arabia doing most of the covert dirty work.  Civilians on the ground are at the most risk, but Crimea so far appears to be relatively secure.  That would be Russia’s doing.

Neo-con men like Barack, in addition to staggering hypocrisy, can be quite petulant and vindictive in their policymaking.  Here’s the meat of his latest threat against the people of the world, including the reader:

“…any person determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State:

(i) to be responsible for or complicit in, or to have engaged in, directly or indirectly, any of the following:

(A) actions or policies that undermine democratic processes or institutions in Ukraine;”

That designation would include Nuland, McCain, Kerry and Obama himself if anyone was keeping track.  But Caesar’s diktats are subject to Caesar’s interpretation.  Caesar’s laws are to be applied in the manner Caesar prefers.  Law is reduced to whim now, and it doesn’t really have to make sense; does it?
