Russia responded predictably:
“All efforts by Kiev to reclaim Crimea are illegitimate and cannot be interpreted in any other way but a threat of aggression against two Russian [federal] subjects. We reiterate that we will consider participation of any states or organizations in such activities, including the Crimean Platform initiative, as a hostile act against Russia and direct encroachment on its territorial integrity,” [Russian FM] Zakharova noted.
Biden has not given approval for a new attack, but the US remains firmly on board this plan for the past 7 years:
White House released a statement backing Ukraine in the dispute stating, “The United States does not and will never recognize Russia’s purported annexation of the peninsula and we will stand with Ukraine against Russia’s aggressive acts.”
In reality land there were no “aggressive acts” by Russia in Crimea. The PEOPLE of Crimea (remember them?) voted more than 96% to secede from the unelected, fascist coup regime that the US and EU aided in 2014 and which violently seized power in Kiev.
Writing in the U.S. Naval Institute Journal, Admiral Charles A. Richard warned that the military must “consider the possibility of great power competition, crisis, or direct armed conflict with a nuclear-capable peer” and update and modernize its approach to its two principal adversaries.
“There is a real possibility that a regional crisis with Russia or China could escalate quickly to a conflict involving nuclear weapons,” he wrote, demanding that the United States “prepare for the conflict we prefer, instead of one we are likely to face.”
These psychopaths are at it again, selling WW3 as winnable.
