How U.S. Military Bases Abroad Undermine National Security and Harm Us All

We may think such bases have made us safer. In reality, they’ve helped lock us inside a permanently militarized society that has made all of us — everyone on this planet — less secure, damaging lives at home and abroad.

Why does the US have 800 military bases around the world?

This is according to American University professor David Vine in his forthcoming book Base Nation, in which he seeks to quantify the financial, environmental, and human costs of keeping these bases open.

Far from being dead, Putin has emerged, as has a series of interviews for a new documentary:

Putin accuses US over Ukraine coup

“They helped training the nationalists, their armed groups, in Western Ukraine, in Poland and to some extent in Lithuania,” he added.

“They facilitated the armed coup.”

The West spared no effort to prevent Crimea’s reunification with Russia, “by any means, in any format and under any scheme,” he noted.

According to Mr Putin, this approach was far from being the best dealing with any country, and a post-Soviet country like Ukraine specifically. Such countries have a short record of living under a new political system and remain fragile. Violating constitutional order in such a country inevitably deal a lot of damage to its statehood, the president said.

“The law was thrown away and crashed. And the consequences were grave indeed. Part of the country agreed to it, while another part wouldn’t accept it. The country was shattered,” Putin explained, as quoted by Rt.com.

Ukraine Receives New Weapons

Where is the money coming for new tanks, helicopters and missile launchers? From US and European taxpayers of course.

“We’ve invested $5 billion…

…as we take Ukraine into the future it deserves.”
-Obama’s Henchwoman, Victoria Nuland, Asst. Secretary of State

After the military defeat of the Nazi blitzkrieg forces back in August, the Kiev coup government has vowed revenge. This is far from over. The nazis regularly threaten to wipe out separatists and attack Russia as well.

Make no mistake. This could spiral out of control into nuclear war and the end of mankind. Sorry to interrupt your phone tapping about FUCKING NOTHING!!!

U.S. State Dept. Document Confirms Regime Change Agenda in Middle East

For the mooing masses I suppose…

According to the October 2010 document, the Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) at every U.S. embassy in the MENA (Middle East/North Africa) is in charge of the MEPI program, giving it a clear high priority.  The document makes clear that the Middle East Partnership Initiative is not coordinated with host governments:  “MEPI works primarily with civil society, through NGO implementers based in the United States and in the region.  MEPI does not provide funds to foreign governments, and does not negotiate bilateral assistance agreements.  As a regional program, MEPI can shift funds across countries and to new issue-areas as needed.”

The document makes clear that special priority, as early as 2010, was given to Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Egypt and Bahrain, and that project headquarters in Abu Dhabi and Tunis were overall coordinating centers for the entire regional program.  Within a year of its inception, Libya and Syria were added to the list of countries on the priority list for civil society intervention.

Your government is stirring up mass movements and violence across the Middle East. They admit to it. If other countries were doing that here, to your country, you wouldn’t like it very much. That’s hypocrisy. Are you comfortable being a hypocrite and an imperialist?

Ukrainian soldiers walk near armoured personnel carriers at a checkpoint in near the town of Slaviansk, in eastern Ukraine

Ukrainian army apparently gets support of U.S. mercenaries

A newspaper report suggests now that the thing perhaps but there might be something: According to “Bild am Sonntag” [Germany’s largest daily paper], the Ukrainian security forces are supported by Academi 400 elite soldiers. They should have led operations against pro-Russian rebel around the city ostukrainische Slowjansk.
