I’ve been studying this issue for 20 years and have never seen this footage. Wasn’t big news on TV, and certainly its debunking never got aired.

This is the crux of 9/11 high Treason. Tenet says “no one read” the cable. The CIA’s own database revealed more than 50 people read the cable. It’s in the 2005 CIA Inspector General’s report. That’s blatant Treason, Aid and Comfort to the enemy. They let them do it and never notified anyone that Al Qaeda cells were INSIDE THE COUNTRY.

I REPEAT.

INSIDE THE COUNTRY.

FOR OVER A YEAR.

THE CIA KNEW THAT.

NOW YOU KNOW IT TOO.

Yesterday, the Gray Zone released some interesting stuff about Anwar al Malaki and George Tenet demanding he be released from prison in Yemen in 2001–the year of the 9/11 attacks.

The Awlaki Wikipedia page actually has a ton of info on his career as a terrorist.

Anwar al-Awlaki

FBI agents identified al-Awlaki as a known, important “senior recruiter for al Qaeda”, and a spiritual motivator.[69][109] His name came up in a dozen terrorism plots in the US, UK, and Canada. The cases included suicide bombers in the 2005 London bombings, radical Islamic terrorists in the 2006 Toronto terrorism case, radical Islamic terrorists in the 2007 Fort Dix attack plot, the jihadist killer in the 2009 Little Rock military recruiting office shooting, and the 2010 Times Square bomber. In each case the suspects were devoted to al-Awlaki’s message, which they listened to online and on CDs.

The people who let 9/11 happen

Leaks show CIA pressured Yemen to release al-Qaeda leader and agency asset Anwar al-Awlaki

It’s about GEORGE TENET and his connection to Awlaki, as released by the current Houthi government of Yemen.

Only, the author doesn’t seem to understand that George Tenet was the key man who deliberately allowed the 9/11 attacks to succeed. The author, Rubinstein, either believes the convoluted CIA official narrative or he has to pretend he does at the Gray Zone. Either way, he relies on the 9/11 Commission Report as if that was the Bible and not “set up to fail” according to two of its “Chairmen.”

More:

Houthi media says al-Shami “pointed out that the Americans used to train their [Al Qaeda] individuals in Yemen and send them abroad to carry out operations for them, and then affix the accusation to Yemen as an excuse to come under the cover of fighting those individuals.”

A 1998 document from the State Department strongly suggests the US was interested in establishing a military presence in Yemen around the sea of Aden.

One of numerous missing links:
Osama Bassnan

by Joe Giambrone
September 11th, 2016

You probably didn’t hear from your corporate media that those 28 pages concerning Saudi state support to the September 11th suicide-hijackers have been released to the public. Or if you had, you would have most likely heard only the Saudi spin, published widely, and parroted by Barack Obama’s spokespeople, that the pages don’t mean anything.

One might ask of those 28 pages: if they didn’t mean anything in the first place then why cover them up for fifteen years until the population mostly forgot about them?

This September 11th, if you actually read the pages yourself, they might wind up meaning quite a lot to you. Couched in Congressional weasel-words, “may have” being repeated throughout, the report is a shocking eye-opener. It was likely the catalyst for the September 9 unanimous House of Representatives vote to pass JASTA, the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act.

A single paragraph from the long-censored Congressional Joint Inquiry chapter should convey a sense of the disgraceful cover-up as it now stands:

Osama Bassnan. …Bassnan was a close associate of al-Bayoumi and Omar Bakarbashat, another one of the hijackers’ close associates. He also lived across the street from the hijackers, and made a comment to an FBI asset that he did more than al-Bayoumi for the hijackers. According to an FBI document, Bassnan told another individual that he met al-Hazmi through al-Bayoumi and later that he met two of the hijackers through al-Bayoumi. He also told the asset that al-Bayoumi was arrested because he knew al-Hazmi and al-Mihdhur very well. …Bassnan has many ties to the Saudi Government, including past employment by the Saudi Arabian Education Mission, referred to in an FBI document as [REDACTED, INEXPLICABLY]. The FBI also received reports from individuals in the Muslim community alleging that Bassnan might be a Saudi intelligence officer. According to a CIA memo, Bassnan reportedly received funding and possibly a fake passport from Saudi Government officials. He and his wife have received financial support from the Saudi Ambassador to the United States and his wife. …The report states that during that trip a member of the Saudi royal family provided Bassnan with a significant amount of cash. FBI information indicates that Bassnan is an extremist and supporter of Usama bin Laden, and has been connected to the Eritrean Islamic Jihad and the Blind Shaykh.”

That “Saudi Ambassador to the United States” is, of course, “Bandar Bush,” otherwise known as Prince Bandar bin Sultan.

The Saudi regime has been an arms supplier, funding source and trainer of Sunni terrorists for a long, long time. Beginning in 1979 they partnered with the US CIA and Pakistani ISI to create a fundamentalist army in Afghanistan, otherwise known as Operation Cyclone, the largest CIA operation in history. The Central Intelligence Agency was on the same side as Osama bin Laden, who was supplied with fighters–covertly–from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and a number of other nations where Al Qaeda types were deemed a bit too dangerous to remain at home. The Afghan strategy was to send the Wahabbi radicals off to fight their Jihad elsewhere, and so solve two problems with one action.

If the Islamists are blowing up Soviets or Syrians or Libyan government forces then they are not blowing up targets in their homelands, such as in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, et cetera. This strategy persists to this very day and fuels the carnage in Syria.

Lest anyone believe that the Saudis acted alone on September 11th of 2001, without US official protection, that argument is indefensible. The great lengths that two US administrations have gone to keep this crime covered-up should be sufficient to dispel that fantasy. A simple 1 plus 1 train of logic: if the Saudis acted without US permission to attack the USA and murder 3,000 Americans at home, including an attack on the Pentagon(!), their entire country would have been vaporized off the planet the following day 9/12/01. It is not even remotely plausible that the Saudis would act alone against the US, and they most certainly did not.

A longstanding partnership exists here, and so we must expose the treachery of US high officials as well. The counter-terrorism adviser to the White House, terror “Czar” Richard Clarke has accused the CIA, and George Tenet specifically, of hiding the hijackers from him and from the FBI, and thus allowing the September 11th attacks to succeed. FBI agents on the case also complained about the CIA’s deliberate hiding of Al Qaeda terrorists/hijackers inside the United States. There has been zero accountability.

Clarke, the highest counter-terrorism official in the land on 9/11, points the finger directly at Tenet, but with a caveat. He proposes a cover-story about Saudis allegedly “recruiting” Al Qaeda to serve as double agents. This “recruiting” story should be disregarded as cheap talk, however. The CIA pretended to warn the Bush White House of “spectacular attacks” domestically, while it simultaneously continued to shield known Al Qaeda men inside the US from exposure and arrest—for over a year. As with all witnesses we must strip away any speculation or opinion from Richard Clarke’s statements and deal only with the facts. The CIA deliberately withheld intelligence about hijackers inside the US from the Counter-Terrorism Adviser to the White House and from the head of the FBI.

Prince Bandar floated that same sort of recruiting-bad-guys story, claiming to have watched the hijackers “with precision.” With Saudi “precision” he apparently watched them for over a year until they flew right into the World Trade Center. Some stories fail the laugh test, and this is clearly one of them. A security loophole was exploited by those who knew better. We see a cover-story in place to attempt to deflect blame, but the cover-story has yet been unnecessary owing to the success of the larger 9/11 cover-up. That cover-up is now unraveling.

The CIA deliberately failed to fulfill its core mission, its raison d’etre, why it was created in the first place post Pearl Harbor: to protect the nation from an attack. The fact that CIA was aware of Al Qaeda terrorists living inside the US during numerous warnings of suicide skyjackings and of “spectacular attacks,” yet failed to simply phone up the FBI and alert them, is the glaring red flag here which reads “Treason.”

Treason is simply “aid and comfort” to those who attack the country, as per the US Constitution, which Americans were supposed to read as children. Providing any “aid and comfort” to those who attack the country is prosecutable under the Constitution—except apparently when high officials do it.

Americans remain ignorant of the relevant history, that of the CIA, what it actually does in the real world, not on movie screens, and particularly of Operation Gladio and its “Strategy of Tension.” Failing to comprehend motives for 9/11, or for betraying one’s country, the public largely assumes it impossible.

An attack such as September 11th could only succeed because of the historical ignorance of the American public, an ignorance that is dangerous and exploitable.

The New York Times finally exposed Operation Ajax, the 1953 overthrow of the legitimately elected government of Iran. Only, it took the paper of record 47 years and it only published the details after the CIA itself released its report, not unlike Soviet-era Pravda. But what is the most damning fact about what the CIA actually did in 1953?

The [CIA’s own] history says agency officers orchestrating the Iran coup worked directly with royalist Iranian military officers, handpicked the prime minister’s replacement, sent a stream of envoys to bolster the shah’s courage, directed a campaign of bombings by Iranians posing as members of the Communist Party, and planted articles and editorial cartoons in newspapers.”

Directed a campaign of bombings posing as communists?

That, dear reader, is a black and white admission of false flag terrorism. The Central Intelligence Agency has admitted to practicing false flag terrorism as far back as 1953. That would be square one in a course on censored history and reality as you probably are not aware of it.

Square two would entail Operation Gladio, a “forty year” (BBC) string of bombings and terror incidents orchestrated by the CIA and by a secret NATO parallel organization. Gladio was intended to frighten the population of Europe into rejecting leftists and to prod the population toward the right. The purpose is propaganda first and foremost. Gladio required innocent civilians killed by supposed “communists.” Gladio culminated in the Bologna railway station bombing of 1980, which killed 85 and wounded another 200.

Operation Gladio was exposed by the Prime Minister of Italy, Giulio Andreotti, in 1990. This is censored entirely from American corporate news media. The American public knows nothing about it whatsoever.

The important takeaway is the Strategy of Tension. Terror, state-terror, is used to move populations toward desired positions. Terror is a lever of power. It is seen as a valuable commodity and much more valuable to a warmonger than simply stopping an attack on civilians. The motive to allow an attack to succeed is clear and should be understood by all, especially given the very real and deadly history of Operation Gladio.

The communist enemy was supplanted by the Islamic terrorist enemy, almost seamlessly. After the fall of the Soviet Union western imperialists needed an external threat to justify trillions in arms and limitless warfare. Without the counterbalance of the Soviet empire the Western bloc was unleashed and able to choose its targets without fear of igniting a nuclear conflagration. President George H.W. Bush famously called this situation the “New World Order.”

And so we return to the Saudis, caught red-handed aiding and abetting the September 11th hijackers. These war crimes were hushed up and classified by the Saudi-friendly regime of G.W. Bush. But the cover-up continued under Democrat Barack Obama too, and for seven years of his rule those 28 pages were brushed aside and ignored.

Now that they are out, will we finally see a real investigation into what happened on 9/11/01, and who is truly to blame? Will we ever see justice?

I’m not holding my breath, but the passage of JASTA by unanimous consent in the House does put some monkey back into the wrench.

Perhaps a knock on Osama Bassnan’s door, just to start the ball rolling?

This explosive accusation remains censored from US corporate media and the fake foundation-funded left media too…

Counter-terrorism Advisor to the White House (“Terror Czar”) Richard A. Clarke:

“It’s not as I originally thought, which was that one lonely CIA analyst got this information and didn’t somehow recognize the significance of it. No, fifty, 5-0, CIA personnel knew about this. Among the fifty people in CIA who knew these guys were in the country was the CIA director.”

“Unless someone intervened to stop the normal automatic distribution, I would automatically get it… For me to this day it is inexplicable why, when I had every other detail about everything related to terrorism, that the director didn’t tell me, that the director of the counter-terrorism center didn’t tell me, that the other 48 people inside CIA that knew about it never mentioned it to me or anyone in my staff in a period of over 12 months… We therefore conclude that there was a high-level decision inside CIA ordering people not to share that information.”

“There was not a lack of information sharing. They told us everything – except this.”

“THIS” = Hijackers living in San Diego for 16 months prior to 9/11, the people who allegedly flew a plane into the Pentagon on Sepember 11th, 2001.

“George Tenet followed all of the information about al-Qaeda in microscopic detail. He read raw intelligence reports before analysts in the counterterrorism center did…”

Even to this day, Richard Clarke can’t comprehend that the attacks were deliberately allowed to proceed and that the United States war machine gained significantly from this event. That it was a false flag attack with Saudi and Pakistani sponsorship, much like the war on the Soviets in Afghanistan was carried out.

So much suspicious cover-up and blatant lying surrounds 9/11, the role of the Saudis, the destruction of the buildings, the missing black boxes from the planes, the non-response of fighter interceptors, the numbers of warnings before the fact that were blatantly ignored, also insider stock trading on the airlines and other affected companies. Add the fairy-tale fictional 9/11 Commission Report that relied on the admittedly tortured testimony of an alleged Khalid Sheikh Muhammad. The ommission of Able Danger, the inexplicable deletion of terrabytes of intelligence that included Mohammad Atta’s cell in New York. The Commission’s censoring out of all dissenting witnesses, whisleblowers even research staff, and the corruption of the 9/11 Commission by Bush White House operative Phillip Zelikow. It is far, far too extensive a whitewash to go into in such a post as this.

The undeniable fact is that unless you are of a handful of insiders who perpetrated the attacks, you have no idea whatsoever what actually happened on 9/11 and who, precisely, coordinated it, funded it, orchestrated it. The truth of 9/11 has been obfuscated and washed from history, and in its place we have nothing but a quasi-religious day of remembrance, a day that bolsters the imperial agenda of attacking other nations, bombing the official enemies into submission without restraint, illegitimate belligerence in the name of “defense.”

ps.

Richard Clarke provides both facts and speculation. His speculation concerns a cover story about alleged “recruitment” of Al Qaeda members by the Saudi Arabian intelligence service, inside the USA. This “recruitment” meme is pervasive, floated by several FBI agents and even Prince Bandar. That means it was part of the story, and glares as a fallback position once the cover-up is exposed. It is the cover story that allowed the CIA and American officials to sell the operation to their own underlings. The 9/11 attacks could only have succeeded by convincing lower level underlings to go along with allowing Al Qaeda terrorists to remain in the US without simply being turned over to FBI and arrested. The “recruitment” story provides the excuse, and it is a security loophole large enough to fly four hijacked planes through…

‘The Attacks Will Be Spectacular’

George Tenet accused the Bushies of avoiding a paper trail by ignoring meetings and warnings prior to 9/11. But the large gap in his story is that Tenet was himself actively hiding known Al Qaeda mambers living in San Diego from Counterterrorism Czar Richard Clarke. This is corroborated in the CIA Inspector General report from 2005 (page xiii, bottom). Tenet also obviously lied to the 9/11 Commission–a felony.

Consider the source…

That morning of July 10, the head of the agency’s Al Qaeda unit, Richard Blee, burst into [Cofer] Black’s office…

What can we infer from this day?

Three top CIA officers were involved: Blee, Black and Tenet. The odds are that one or more of them were not in on the grand plan, that the attacks needed to succeed in order to give America a pretext to attack Asia for the next century. The September 11th attacks provided the “new Pearl Harbor” as laid out in Rebuilding America’s Defenses, from the Project for a New American Century (PNAC).

That makes everything else in this article a half-truth, a take-it-with-a-grain-of-salt, revelation:

Rich [Blee] started by saying, ‘There will be significant terrorist attacks against the United States in the coming weeks or months.

…And the word back,” says Tenet, “‘was ‘we’re not quite ready to consider this. We don’t want the clock to start ticking.’” (Translation: they did not want a paper trail to show that they’d been warned.)

It’s entirely possible that Blee and/or Black were not co-conspirators, and that all the rest of it was theater for their benefit.

While the Inspector General makes clear that many people at CIA were aware of the Al Qaeda men in San Diego, it has a gaping hole in it, due to the ongoing cover-up of Saudi state involvement. There is a cover story that complicates matters.

It should also be mentioned that while the top CIA brass were allegedly worried that all these Al Qaeda men were “coming here,” the issuance of VISAS from SAUDI ARABIA received no attention: which is how they actually got into the country.

J. Michael Springmann has long exposed that the CIA ran the Saudi consulates and overrode State Department officers in order to sneak in “unqualified applicants” such as the 9/11 hijackers.

Kevin Ryan:
Saudi Ties to 9/11 Mean U.S. Ties to 9/11
  • When two of the alleged 9/11 hijackers, Khalid Al-Mihdhar and Nawaf Al-Hazmi, came to the U.S. in January 2000, they immediately met with Omar Al-Bayoumi, a suspected Saudi spy and an employee of a Saudi aviation company. Al-Bayoumi, who was the target of FBI investigations in the two years before 9/11, became a good friend to the two 9/11 suspects, setting them up in an apartment and paying their rent.
  • Al-Mihdhar and Al-Hazmi then moved in with a long-time FBI asset, Abdussattar Shaikh, who was said to be a teacher of the Saudi language. Shaikh allowed them to live in his home for at least seven months, later saying that he thought they were only Saudi students. In an unlikely coincidence, both Al-Bayoumi and Shaikh also knew Hani Hanjour, the alleged pilot of Flight 77. Although Shaikh was reported to be a retired professor at San Diego State University, the university had no records of him. He was then said to be a professor at American Commonwealth University but that turned out to be a phony institution. During the 9/11 investigations, the FBI refused to allow Shaikh to be interviewed or deposed. The FBI also tried to prevent the testimony of Shaikh’s FBI handler, which occurred only secretly at a later date. Despite having a very suspicious background, the FBI gave Shaikh $100,000 and closed his contract.
  • Journalist Joseph Trento claimed that an unnamed former CIA officer, who worked in Saudi Arabia, told him that Alhazmi and Almihdhar were Saudi spies protected by U.S. authorities.
  • After being appointed CIA Director in 1997, George Tenet began to cultivate close personal relationships with officials in Saudi Arabia. Tenet grew especially close to Prince Bandar, the Saudi ambassador to the United States. Bandar and Tenet often met at Bandar’s home near Washington. Tenet did not share information from those meetings with his own CIA officers who were handling Saudi issues at the agency. These facts are among the reasons to suspect that Tenet facilitated the crimes of 9/11.
  • Bernard Kerik, the New York City police commissioner at the time of 9/11, spent three years working in Saudi Arabia in the 1970s. He then spent another three years in Saudi Arabia in the 1980s as the “chief investigator for the royal family.” It was Kerik who first told the public that explosives were not used at the World Trade Center (WTC) in a news conference. It was also his police department that was said to have discovered a passport that fell from one of the burning towers, providing dubious evidence identifying one of the alleged hijackers.
  • After 9/11, former FBI director Louis Freeh, whose agency failed to stop Al Qaeda-attributed terrorism from 1993 to 2001, became the personal attorney for Tenet’s dubious cohort, Prince Bandar. Sometimes called “Bandar Bush” for his close relationship to the Bush family, Bandar was the Saudi intelligence director from 2005 to 2015.
  • The company that designed the security system for the WTC complex, Kroll Associates, had strong connections to Saudi Arabia. For example, Kroll board member Raymond Mabus, now Secretary of the Navy, was the U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia in the 1990s. Control of WTC security speaks to the question of how explosives could have been placed in the three tall buildings that weredemolished on 9/11.
  • All four of the contractors that were involved in implementing Kroll’s security design for the WTC had done significant business in the Saudi kingdom. Stratesec, the company that installed the overall electronic security system at the WTC complex, had also managed security for Dulles airport, where Flight 77 took off, and for United Airlines, which owned two of the three other planes. For many reasons, the company’s managers should be primary suspects in the crimes of 9/11. Stratesec was in partnership with a large Saudi engineering and construction company to develop and conduct business in Saudi Arabia.
  • Another interesting connection between Stratesec and Saudi Arabia was that, in the years leading up to 9/11, Stratesec held its annual shareholders’ meetings in an office that was leased by Saudi Arabia. This was an office in the Watergate Hotel occupied by the Saudi Embassy (run by Prince Bandar).
  • The Bush and Bin Laden-financed Carlyle Groupowned, through BDM International, the Vinnell Corporation, a mercenary operation that had extensive contracts and trained the Saudi Arabian National Guard. Several of Stratesec’s key employees, including its operating manager Barry McDaniel, came from BDM. In 1995, BDM’s Vinnell was one of the first targets of Al Qaeda, in Saudi Arabia.
  • One of the two major contractors hired to manage the cleanup of debris at Ground Zero—Bovis Lend Lease—had previously built the Riyadh Olympic stadium in Saudi Arabia.
  • The other primary cleanup company at Ground Zero—AMEC Construction—had just completed a $258 million refurbishment of Wedge 1 of the Pentagon, which is exactly where Flight 77 was said to impact that building. AMEC had a significant presence in Saudi Arabia for decades, working for the national oil company, Saudi Aramco.
  • In the 1990s, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), run by Dick Cheney’s protégé Duane Andrews, trained the Saudi Navy and instructed Saudi military personnel at its company headquarters in San Diego. SAIC had a greater impact on counterterrorism programs in the United States than any other non-government entity and it profited greatly from 9/11.
  • While SAIC was training the Saudi Navy, the Carlyle/BDM subsidiary Vinnell Corporation was training the Saudi Arabian National Guard. Simultaneously, Booz Allen Hamilton was managing the Saudi Marine Corps and running the Saudi Armed Forces Staff College.
  • Salomon Smith Barney (SSB), the company that occupied all but ten floors of WTC building 7, was taken over by Citigroup in 1998 after Citigroup was taken over by Saudi Prince Alwaleed, in a deal brokered by The Carlyle Group. Donald Rumsfeldand Dick Cheney joined the advisory board for SSB just after Citigroup’s takeover and they only resigned in January 2001 to join the Bush Administration.
  • The Saudi government was sued by thousands of 9/11 victim’s family members due to the suspicion that Saudi Arabia helped to finance Al Qaeda. The Saudis hired the law firm of Bush Administration insider James Baker to defend them in that lawsuit.
  • The 9/11 families’ lawsuit against Saudi royals was thrown out on a technicality related to the ability to sue a foreign government and, later, the Obama Administration backed the Saudis during the appeal.
  • The world’s leading insurance provider, Lloyd’s of London, filed a lawsuit alleging Saudi involvement in the 9/11 attacks. Lloyd’s dropped the lawsuit just days later without explanation.
  • After 9/11, it became clear that Saudi officials were supporting terrorism. For example, in the case of a would-be “underwear bomber,” it was revealed that the suspect was working for the CIA and Saudi intelligence.
  • Saudi Prince Bandar has been accused of coordinating an international ring of terrorism in his role as Saudi intelligence chief. From Egypt to Libya, and now in Syria, evidence suggests that Bandar Bush has led a network of terrorists around the globe, with U.S. support.

The state of the cover-up:

Former FBI agents say the agency’s bin Laden unit misled them about two hijackers

Some explanation is needed.

What low-level CIA operatives are told and what high-level strategists actually want to have happen are not necessarily the same thing.

Former counter-terrorism “Czar” Richard Clarke has let the cat out of the bag.  The CIA top leadership all knew that Al Qaeda hijackers were living in the US, and for 16 months, they let them.  Even one week before 9/11 this info was kept hidden from high-level people like Richard Clarke and the head of FBI.

Clarke, the good insider, floats a tailor made excuse that CIA’s intentions were pure and that they only wanted to turn these hijackers into double agents.  This story has nothing supporting it.  What’s more, CIA actions allowed the hijackers to succeed in their mission, rendering whatever excuses that can be concocted moot.

It is entirely possible that low-level CIA people were fed this story, while the upper people were okay with a “new Pearl Harbor” event.  The Project for a New American Century is aimed at the top decision makers, the politicos in the white house, political appointees, not the grunts carrying out orders.  The orders to allow the hijackers to operate freely could be justified by this recruitment meme, even more conveniently when Saudi agents like Omar Al Bayoumi could be said to be handling the contacts.  All that CIA people needed to do was to keep it quiet, and not tell the FBI — despite being legally required to do so.

So the cover story that a recruitment operation is the highest priority, and that Saudi “allies” are carrying it out — because CIA isn’t supposed to operate domestically, of course — convinces low-level personnel that they’re doing the right thing.

Only, they weren’t doing the right thing at all.  The hijackers weren’t recruited.  The Saudis supported 9/11 hijackers, and for all we know were happy that they succeeded in their mission, with Bandar Bush and the PNAC gang popping champagne that night.  This “new Pearl Harbor” event opened the floodgates to endless war and imperial expansion.
