Twitter just eliminated journalism about people without their “consent.” What “consent” are they supposed to provide? What is the official Twitter “consent” procedure? There is none! This is a clampdown on independent journalism, blatant, top-down, authoritarian, and I hope it is the end of Twitter.

It’s been a while since CBS anchor Dan Rather, in the wake of 9/11, said:

“George Bush is the president. He makes the decisions, and, you know, it’s just one American, wherever he wants me to line up, just tell me where, and he’ll make the call.”
