Turkish authorities have detained a former official involved in a controversial 2014 search of Syria-bound trucks. While media reported the vehicles were full of ammunition, Ankara claimed they carried “aid for the Turkmen” and branded the search “treason.”

Former Prosecutor Yasar Kavalcioglu was detained after an ID check on a passenger bus in Istanbul early on Monday, according to Anadolu news agency. Kavalcioglu was put on search list for his role in the truck issue, the Daily Sabah notes.

New ISIS video threatens 9/11-style attacks in US

Well, of course.

But that’s not even scratching the surface. The far more interesting article is this obscene monkey business in Turkey:

Turkish court arrests 17 gendarmes who intercepted Syria-bound trucks

Say what now?

The government of Turkey has arrested a military unit that STOPPED trucks full of weapons from heading to Syria to supply Al Nusrah / ISIS types. The trucks were sent by Turkish INTELLIGENCE, MiT, with a fraudulent description of “Humanitarian Aid.”

And so, ladies and gentlemen, we have GLADIO B exposed by units of Turkey’s own military. And the ones who exposed it are being charged with high crimes!

That’s the real war of terror being waged across the Middle East.

Chechnya?

This brings up a hell of a lot more questions than it answers.  The war in Chechnya, a breakaway province of Russia, in the 1990s was primarily a Jihad with Islamic extremist fighters versus the Russian army.  Much like Afghanistan in the 1980s, a massive CIA/Saudi/Pakistani endeavor that used radical Islamist militias to oust the Soviet Union from Afghanistan.

Chechnya was very similar in character and the Chechen Jihadis were often compared by Russia’s president Putin to Al Qaeda.  The Russians believed that Washington and London were behind this assault on the Russian territory.  And why would he believe something like that?

The Chechens’ American friends (Guardian UK)

“This harshness towards Putin is perhaps explained by the fact that, in the US, the leading group which pleads the Chechen cause is the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya (ACPC). The list of the self-styled “distinguished Americans” who are its members is a rollcall of the most prominent neoconservatives who so enthusastically support the “war on terror”.

They include Richard Perle, the notorious Pentagon adviser; Elliott Abrams of Iran-Contra fame; Kenneth Adelman, the former US ambassador to the UN who egged on the invasion of Iraq by predicting it would be “a cakewalk”; Midge Decter, biographer of Donald Rumsfeld and a director of the rightwing Heritage Foundation; Frank Gaffney of the militarist Centre for Security Policy; Bruce Jackson, former US military intelligence officer and one-time vice-president of Lockheed Martin, now president of the US Committee on Nato; Michael Ledeen of the American Enterprise Institute, a former admirer of Italian fascism and now a leading proponent of regime change in Iran; and R James Woolsey, the former CIA director who is one of the leading cheerleaders behind George Bush’s plans to re-model the Muslim world along pro-US lines.”
