File under unfuckingbelievable:

Vets felt shock and anger when they found out they were duped into doing “the Saudis’ dirty work,” as one put it.

Vets say they were duped into helping Saudi Arabia dodge payouts to 9/11 victims

Every American needs to know what is already public about Saudi government sponsorship of the September 11th attacks. They wouldn’t be “duped” into such stupidity if they simply read:

9/11 & 28 Pages of Treason

I made the hypnotized army in my novel TRANSFIXION a type of “dupe.” That is the slang pejorative used by the resisters.  They call them “dupes,” and “puppets” and similar smears as part of their battlefield banter. No accident.

Western media have uncritically reported Al Qaeda’s claims in Syria and Iraq for years.

Who supplies the news?

alt-right-action.png

FreePress.net:

“Alt-right” is a term white nationalists and white supremacists use to obscure their overtly racist, anti-Semitic, xenophobic and misogynist agenda.

Too many media outlets are using the term without definition or context — and these omissions help normalize extremist groups and create an environment where increased levels of dehumanization, harassment and violence against Muslims, immigrants, people of color, women and LGBTQI folks become daily occurrences.

Tell the media: Stop doing PR for racists.

The Associated Press just released standards for reporting on the “alt-right” — urging the media to stop using the term without context.1 All news outlets should follow the AP’s recommendation to “avoid using the term generically and without definition … because it is not well known and … may exist primarily as a public-relations device to make its supporters’ actual beliefs less clear and more acceptable to a broader audience.”

Urge the media to stop using the term “alt-right” without context. News outlets need to call out racism, white nationalism, neo-Nazism, white supremacy and misogyny for what they are.

People’s lives are at risk as members of the incoming Trump administration call for mass deportation of undocumented people, a ban on Muslims entering the country,2 and suppression of the Black vote.3According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, there were 701 reported incidents of hateful harassment in the 10 days following the election.4 These incidents can’t be separated from Trump’s hateful platform or the agenda of the so-called “alt-right.”5

The media must hold the administration and white supremacist groups accountable for their actions and stop doing PR for racists.

Thanks for all that you do—

107 Nobel Laureate Attack on Greenpeace Traced Back to Biotech PR Operators

Washington Press Club hosted a hit job on Greenpeace the other day…

“Some NGOs were invited: Really?  Why not Greenpeace—the subject of this campaign?”

Nor was the security person just anyone. Schwab and Cray recognised him as Jay Byrne. Byrne is the former head of corporate communications for Monsanto (1997-2001).

“Golden Rice” Bullshit Claims Debunked:

This latest PR assault by Monsanto et al. demonises activists for allegedly stopping the introduction of the miracle cure, Golden Rice. This claim is nonsense, as Greenpeace and other activists have no regulatory power in the real world.

Their “Golden Rice” simply doesn’t fucking work…

Genetically modified Golden Rice falls short on lifesaving promises

“The simple fact is that after 24 years of research and breeding, Golden Rice is still years away from being ready for release.”

Parallel World of the Pro-GMO Evangelist

The case for GM cannot be made in terms of better yields, less chemical inputs, safety, impact on the environment, nutritional value or improved farmers’ incomes, so the tactic is to denigrate alternative solutions.

…Whether in academia or elsewhere, mouthpieces for their transnational agribusiness masters have no shame in churning out misinformation and cheap slurs to forward a pro-GM agenda that is based on fraud and a subversion of science, as documented in Steven Druker’s book ‘Altered Genes, Twisted Truths’. And this agenda does not possess overwhelming support within science, despite the claims of GM supporters. This much has been made clear by Food & Water Watch and by Druker himself in a recent TV debate and his follow up points here.

Over and over and over. Nearly everything that comes out of Washington concerning the reasons for launching their wars is fraudulent. LIies. Deception. Conspiracy. War Crimes.

They lie decade after decade, war after war, and dumb Americans continue to believe them.

Ofcom accuse BBC of airing ‘propaganda films’

A 112-page report from media regulator Ofcom censures the broadcaster for what the Daily Mail has called a “blatant breach” of broadcast rules.

Ofcom warned of an “inherent risk to the BBC’s independence and integrity” as it emerged the state broadcaster purchased films funded by outside bodies and foreign governments for as little as £1.

The Independent reports Ofcom has found almost 50 breaches of TV standards among broadcasters, with funders ranging from the United Nations, British businessman and Imam Aga Khan, and even a Cambodian casino.

‘I Lied About Toxic Chemicals for Exxon, DuPont, and Their Lobbyists’

The council’s credibility is crucial as it currently works with a bipartisan group in the Senate to rewrite the law governing the regulation of toxic chemicals. The bill to reform the Toxic Substances Control Act passed a Senate committee recently by a vote of 15 to 5 and last week picked up 14 new senators as co-sponsors, virtually assuring it can pass the Senate.

Gaza-Stike

British medical journal The Lancet is under attack for daring to speak out on the massacre of over 1,800 Palestinians last year and the related health crises in Gaza.

Lancet medical journal accused of ‘hate speech’ on Israeli aggression in Gaza

Specifically referencing Israel’s military assault on Gaza last summer, the letter insisted “the massacre in Gaza spares no one.” Its victims include “the disabled and sick in hospitals, children playing on the beach or on the roof top, with a large majority of non-combatants,” the letter said.

CNN:

The Palestinian death toll in Gaza stands at more than 1,800, with nearly 10,000 wounded, Gaza’s Health Ministry said Sunday. More than 300 children have died, the ministry has reported, as the United Nations repeatedly raises concerns about the high number of deaths in Gaza.
