Seymour Hersh on novichok, Russian links to Donald Trump and 9/11

We end up ruminating about 9/11, perhaps because it is another narrative ripe for deconstruction by sceptics. Polling shows that a significant proportion of the American public believes there is more to the truth. These doubts have been reinforced by the declassification of the suppressed 28 pages of the 9/11 commission report last year undermining the version that a group of terrorists acting independently managed to pull off the attacks. The implication is that they may well have been state-sponsored with the Saudis potentially involved.

AND THEIR AMERICAN FRIENDS! DUH!

This is gold:

However, when [Oliver] Stone begins to expand on his thesis that Kennedy was assassinated by a CIA conspiracy in what would eventually become his tour de force magnum opus JFK, Hersh is completely dismissive, telling Stone that the idea is preposterous – to which Stone replies that he always knew Hersh was a CIA agent and walks off.

SEYMOUR HERSH BLASTS MEDIA FOR UNCRITICALLY PROMOTING RUSSIAN HACKING STORY

You need to also talk about what they DIDN’T cover:

What’s really going on in Syria, Libya, and the wider Middle East bears no resemblance to the sludge Americans are force-fed by a clownish media. I’ve tried to set the record straight, since 2012, but the truth is no longer welcome in this dystopia. America has truly lost its mind, assuming it had one to begin with.

Our psychotic so-called “leaders” love nothing more than to play with fire. Big fire.

Moscow slams Obama decision to send 250 more US troops to Syria

The Syria debacle was always, from day one, from 1957 a proxy war against Russian influence. The US aims to kick out the Russians, their defensive weapons, their naval base, and their oil and gas industries.

That’s why a quarter of a million Syrians are dead.

That’s why ISIS and Al Nusrah exist.

That’s why we stand at the brink of nuclear annihilation: games, imperial games to take whatever can be taken.

Would you send your kid to die for that shit?

Seriously?

Military to Military
Seymour M. Hersh on US intelligence sharing in the Syrian war

‘If the American public saw the intelligence we were producing daily, at the most sensitive level, they would go ballistic,’ [DIA Chief] Flynn told me

‘There was no way to stop the arms shipments that had been authorised by the president,’ the JCS adviser said.

The assessment was bleak: there was no viable ‘moderate’ opposition to Assad, and the US was arming extremists.

Later that year, Syrian intelligence foiled an attack by al-Qaida on the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, and Assad agreed to provide the CIA with the name of a vital al-Qaida informant.+

The Joint Chiefs and the DIA were constantly telling Washington’s leadership of the jihadist threat in Syria, and of Turkey’s support for it. The message was never listened to. Why not?

Hersh Vindicated? Turkish Whistleblowers Corroborate Story on False Flag Sarin Attack in Syria

The purpose of the attack was allegedly to provoke a US military operation in Syria which would topple the Assad regime…

I, and some others, called this at the time. It was glaringly obvious, too. The pattern of western deception and support for terrorism in Syria is a great stain on our entire civilization.

“The MKE [Turkish Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation] is also an actor that is mentioned in the investigation file. Here is the indictment. All the details about how sarin was procured in Turkey and delivered to the terrorists, along with audio recordings, are inside the file,” Erdem said while waving the file.

“Wiretapped phone conversations reveal the process of procuring the gas at specific addresses as well as the process of procuring the rockets that would fire the capsules containing the toxic gas.

So let’s recall the disgusting propaganda of 2013, and the attack on children and civilians in Ghoutta, Syria.

The local Catholic Mother Superior, Mother Agnes, investigated the evidence and published a huge report showing manipulation of the bodies, moving them from location to location for photo propaganda. She helped identify the dead and expose the propaganda as a fraud:

ghoura-video-analysis1y

How was her investigation–that put her life in jeopardy–received in “the west?”

The US corporate monolithic press largely ignored her, of course.

BBC attacked her with specious claims, not showing ANY of the photographic evidence at all.

But the most despicable character to emerge was leftish foundation funded darling JEREMY SCAHILL:

Seymour Hersh would confirm what a lot of us already knew, only to be exiled to Britain in order to have his report published!

So the real question today is:

Where are the apologies and actual investigations of this sarin war crime from these propaganda organs, now that the plot has unraveled in Turkey?

You won’t find it. We are living in an Orwellian dystopia. This is the “memory hole,” which George Orwell brought into existence so eloquently.

OBAMA-LIAR

The media’s reaction to Seymour Hersh’s bin Laden scoop has been disgraceful

Barrels of ink have been spilled ripping apart Hersh’s character, while barely any follow-up reporting has been done to corroborate or refute his claims—even though there’s no doubt that the Obama administration hasrepeatedly misinformed and misled the public about the incident. Even less attention has been paid to the little follow-up reporting that we did get, which revealed that the CIA likely lied about its role in finding bin Laden, which it used to justify torture to the public.

…even though, less than six months ago, the Senate released a 500-page report documenting in meticulous detail the dozens of times the CIA blatantly lied to the public, the press, and Congress about torture over the past decade.

The Killing of Osama bin Laden

Seymour M. Hersh:

A worrying factor at this early point, according to the retired official, was Saudi Arabia, which had been financing bin Laden’s upkeep since his seizure by the Pakistanis. ‘The Saudis didn’t want bin Laden’s presence revealed to us because he was a Saudi, and so they told the Pakistanis to keep him out of the picture. The Saudis feared if we knew we would pressure the Pakistanis to let bin Laden start talking to us about what the Saudis had been doing with al-Qaida. And they were dropping money – lots of it. The Pakistanis, in turn, were concerned that the Saudis might spill the beans about their control of bin Laden. The fear was that if the US found out about bin Laden from Riyadh, all hell would break out. The Americans learning about bin Laden’s imprisonment from a walk-in was not the worst thing.’

Despite their constant public feuding, American and Pakistani military and intelligence services have worked together closely for decades on counterterrorism in South Asia. Both services often find it useful to engage in public feuds ‘to cover their asses’, as the retired official put it, but they continually share intelligence used for drone attacks, and co-operate on covert operations. At the same time, it’s understood in Washington that elements of the ISI believe that maintaining a relationship with the Taliban leadership inside Afghanistan is essential to national security. The ISI’s strategic aim is to balance Indian influence in Kabul; the Taliban is also seen in Pakistan as a source of jihadist shock troops who would back Pakistan against India in a confrontation over Kashmir.

The BFP Roundtable Takes on NATO, Russia, Turkey and the “New Cold War”

In this edition of the BFP Roundtable, Peter B. Collins, Guillermo Jimenez, James Corbett and Sibel Edmonds discuss the latest moves in the formation of a so-called “new cold war” between NATO and Russia. We also tackle Seymour Hersh and his recent article in the London Review of Books examining Turkish involvement in the Syrian chemical weapons attack in Ghouta last year.

SYRIA-GAS-ATTACKAl Nusra chemical weapons attack.

Still exiled to the London Review of Books, Seymour Hersh continues to expose the covert intelligence fraud involving nerve gas attacks inside Syria.  These were perpetrated by US allied “rebel” forces, the Al Nusra brigades, which the US knew all about yet lied to the world repeatedly.

Analysis by Jonathan Cook:

And of course we’ve been writing and posting about this fraud here since before it happened.  And Jeremy Scahill and BBC owe apologies to the honorable Mother Agnes for the despicable, unconscionable attacks they perpetrated on her for the crime of telling the truth.

When will you respond, Scahill?

Hersh on the Libya / Turkey / Syria “Rat Line:”

A highly classified annex to the report, not made public, described a secret agreement reached in early 2012 between the Obama and Erdoğan administrations. It pertained to the rat line. By the terms of the agreement, funding came from Turkey, as well as Saudi Arabia and Qatar; the CIA, with the support of MI6, was responsible for getting arms from Gaddafi’s arsenals into Syria. A number of front companies were set up in Libya, some under the cover of Australian entities. Retired American soldiers, who didn’t always know who was really employing them, were hired to manage procurement and shipping. The operation was run by David Petraeus, the CIA director
