Between 18 and 59 — by averaging the percentages for each age year — about 14.76 percent of U.S. men are veterans, but at least 35% of these shooters were veterans.

This is a war on you, and you better wake up soon.
File under unfuckingbelievable:
Vets felt shock and anger when they found out they were duped into doing “the Saudis’ dirty work,” as one put it.
Every American needs to know what is already public about Saudi government sponsorship of the September 11th attacks. They wouldn’t be “duped” into such stupidity if they simply read:
I made the hypnotized army in my novel TRANSFIXION a type of “dupe.” That is the slang pejorative used by the resisters. They call them “dupes,” and “puppets” and similar smears as part of their battlefield banter. No accident.
“Support” the troops is something that doesn’t actually happen. It’s a propaganda slogan conjured up by some of the most evil, despicable PR assholes the society has ever produced. In fact the US government sees its soldiers as disposable components that it can ignore after the part breaks.
It even conducts experiments on them…
At least 70,000 troops are covered by a class-action suit claiming that these experiments caused cancers, emphysema and other serious illnesses. What they want seems understandable: to be told exactly what substances they were given and how risky they were, to be relieved of any confidentiality agreements they signed during the testing, and to receive care for any conditions that resulted.
Nearly half of these veterans have waited more than five years for coverage, and one document indicated that nearly one-third of those who had been waiting have died.
“VA leadership has repeatedly failed to respond to concerns raised by whistleblowers about patient care at VA,” Davis said in prepared testimony. “Despite the best efforts of truly committed employees at HEC and the Veterans Health Administration, who have risked their careers to stand up for veterans, management at all levels ignored or retaliated against them for exposing the truth.”
Few noticed that the first week of the Iraq War, in 2003, the Rethugs slipped through CUTS to the Veterans Administration. Even as they were manufacturing thousands of new casualties, they were cutting the medical funding for their own troops. I was shocked at the time at the brazen, disgusting, calculated evil. But that’s pretty much business as usual.
